What are the main components that are required to build a structured educational framework? Definitely, this is not as easy as it may seem, simply because there are a lot of factors that can influence the whole educational infrastructure such as investment. I don’t just mean the financial side of that but also investing in the human aspect. Investing in the professional development courses and teachers’ conferences is what actually matters for the long run. Training teachers and elevating their technological skills is very much sought after nowadays. Principals, stakeholders, parents, administrators and educators have to stick together for the sake of enriching the learning and teaching experiences for the coming generations of millennial students.
Upon reflecting on how I think technology should be integrated, I came across how we as educator get to empower our digital native learners with the proper knowledge of using technology and other traditional tools to prepare themselves for their future lives and careers. That is the whole purpose of learning and moving along with the knowledge ladder, sort to speak.
In order to achieve this difficult formula of implementing technology for other than substitution motives, there should be better communication skills among everyone involved in the education sector.Of course, that also should be powered by governments and backed up by big organizations financially.
World wide conferences in which delegates from representatives of every country should set the consensus of twenty-first-century learning and teaching process. I know that some will accuse me of daydreaming and being delusional among other stuff for thinking about this because we as a human race don’t tend to see eye to eye on anything, most of the time, let alone all of us applying similar educational frameworks that have the same goal in mind.
Nancy Kassebaum, former US senator, once said,“There can be infinite uses of the computer and of new age technology, but if teachers themselves are not able to bring it into the classroom and make it work, then it fails.” In fact, that is only true if they have a strong pedagogy behind it, only then the infinite use of technology would definitely be beneficial on so many deeper levels and will be spreading from one generation to another.
